Electric Car Charging Port Locations

Here is a list of electric cars sorted by approximate charging port location.  

Building a new home or renovating? Don't have an electric car yet but want to future-proof your home?  Perhaps this will give you one or two locations to add an electric car charging location in your garage or near your parking area.  As you can see, there is no standard location for the charging ports on electric cars.

I started with a list of more widely available new and used vehicles.  These are based on available USA information. 

Cross reference the approximate possible port locations above with the list of cars below.  

Not all possible locations are used by manufacturers yet.

Be sure to click the link to the car to confirm locations on the manufacturer website before installing anything at your home.

Many of these cars are much more affordable used...Nissan Leaf and BMWi3..for example.
